Building a Global Basketball Community

  • Local Hoops started as an Instagram account posting photos of basketball hoops around the world. It grew a global following completely organically and evolved into a brand rooted in community. The mission is clear: build a global community around the game of basketball.

  • Fans do not want just another apparel brand. They want a community to belong to. Courts are cultural hubs and neighborhood anchors. By focusing on people, places, and stories, Local Hoops could grow while staying true to its roots.

  • We built Local Hoops’ next chapter around the belief that community is the brand. Every move is designed to strengthen the bond between people and the game: from a profit-sharing partnership with creator Joe Mele that tells his hometown court story, to collaborations with St. John’s, UConn, Duke, Purdue, and the Champions Classic, to the Support Your Local Hoops platform that ties products and events back to local courts. Each initiative reinforces the same idea: the culture of basketball begins with community.

    • Joe Mele partnership poised to unlock massive reach at minimal cost.

    • College partnerships built credibility in elite basketball culture.

    • Structured content and partnership model strengthened growth trajectory.

    • Local Hoops is now positioned as a cultural movement, not just a merch company.

    • Specific sales impact COMING SOON.
